1.Rinse the dried fava beans under cold water and soak them overnight.

2.Drain the soaked fava beans and transfer them to a large pot. Add enough water to cover the beans and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour or until the beans are tender.

3.In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until golden brown.

4.Add the cooked fava beans to the pan with the onions and garlic. Stir in the ground cumin, coriander, and turmeric. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
