Ingredients
In this Kosovan adaptation of the Greek Gyros, we incorporate the unique flavors and ingredients of Kosovan cuisine. While the Greek version typically uses pork or chicken, we use succulent lamb as the main protein in our Kosovan-style Lamb Gyros. Additionally, we infuse the lamb with a blend of Kosovan spices, such as paprika and oregano, to give it a distinct flavor profile. The choice of vegetables may also vary, with Kosovan-style Gyros often including locally grown produce like peppers and cabbage. Finally, we serve the gyro with traditional Kosovan flatbread, which adds an authentic touch to the dish. We alse have the original recipe for Gyros, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...
- Lamb — For the best results, choose lean lamb cuts such as leg or shoulder. Trim any excess fat before slicing.
- Greek yogurt — Opt for a thick and creamy Greek yogurt to add a tangy and creamy element to the gyros.
Tips & Tricks
- If you prefer a smokier flavor, you can add a pinch of smoked paprika to the marinade.
- For a spicier kick, sprinkle some chili flakes on the lamb before grilling.
- If you don't have access to flatbreads, you can use pita bread or tortillas as a substitute.
- Experiment with different vegetable toppings such as pickled cabbage or roasted peppers for added flavor.
- To make the gyros even more indulgent, drizzle some tzatziki sauce or garlic sauce over the filling before rolling it up.
