Preparation

1.In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and star anise. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the syrup with the spices.

2.Peel the bananas and cut them into thick slices. Place the banana slices into the syrup and simmer for 2 minutes until the bananas are tender. Remove from heat and let them cool in the syrup.
