Preparation

1.Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 4 hours or overnight.

2.Drain the rice and transfer it to a steamer lined with banana leaves.

3.In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk over medium heat until warm.

4.Add the grated jaggery to the warm coconut milk and stir until it dissolves completely.

5.Pour the coconut milk mixture over the soaked rice and mix well.

6.Sprinkle cardamom powder and salt over the rice mixture and gently combine.

7.Cover the steamer and steam the rice cake over medium heat for 45-50 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and sticky.
