1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cold butter, and granulated sugar. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

2.Add one egg to the mixture and mix until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
