Ingredients
In this adaptation, we infuse the traditional Juane with soul food elements. Instead of using traditional Peruvian spices, we incorporate Southern flavors such as smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and thyme. Additionally, we substitute some of the original ingredients with soul food staples like collard greens and smoked turkey. These modifications create a unique fusion dish that pays homage to both Peruvian and Southern culinary traditions. We alse have the original recipe for Juane, so you can check it out.
