Preparation
-
1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, water, parsley, dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
-
2.On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch (0.6cm). Cut the dough into small squares, approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) in size.
-
3.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon and set aside.
-
4.In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
-
5.Add the diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, paprika, salt, and pepper to the pan. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
-
6.Pour the sauce over the cooked Krapci and gently toss to coat.
-
7.Serve the Krapci hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
Treat your ingredients with care...
- Flour — Use all-purpose flour for the best texture and consistency of the dumplings.
