Preparation
-
1.In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, shrimp, carrots, cabbage, bean sprouts, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
-
2.Take a spring roll wrapper and place it on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the wrapper, spreading it in a horizontal line across the center.
-
3.Fold the bottom edge of the wrapper over the filling, tucking it in tightly. Fold the sides of the wrapper towards the center, then roll it up tightly until you reach the top edge. Seal the edge with a bit of water.
-
4.Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
-
5.Heat oil in a deep pan or pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the Lumpia rolls in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
-
6.Remove the Lumpia from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
-
7.Serve the Lumpia hot with a dipping sauce made from vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and sugar.

Tips & Tricks
- To achieve a crispy texture, make sure the oil is hot enough before frying the Lumpia.
- Serve the Lumpia immediately after frying to maintain their crispiness.
- You can customize the filling by adding other vegetables such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
- If you prefer a spicier flavor, add a dash of chili flakes or hot sauce to the filling mixture.
- For a healthier alternative, you can also bake the Lumpia in the oven instead of deep-frying them.
Serving advice

Presentation advice
Arrange the Lumpia on a platter, garnish with fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley, and serve with the dipping sauce in a small bowl for an appetizing presentation.
