Ingredients
While the original Hungarian Mézes krémes is a layered pastry dessert, the Honey Cream Pie is a classic American pie with a graham cracker crust and a creamy filling. The use of honey as a primary flavoring ingredient gives the pie a distinct sweetness, which is not typically found in Hungarian cuisine. Additionally, the Southwestern American adaptation incorporates cream cheese and whipped cream to create a rich and creamy texture. We alse have the original recipe for Mézes krémes, so you can check it out.

- Graham cracker crumbs — If you can't find graham crackers, you can substitute them with digestive biscuits or crushed vanilla wafers.
- Honey — Opt for a high-quality honey to enhance the flavor of the pie.
Tips & Tricks
- For a more intense honey flavor, drizzle additional honey over each slice of pie before serving.
- You can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of nutmeg to the filling for a hint of warmth and spice.
- To save time, you can use store-bought whipped cream instead of making your own.
Serving advice
