Ingredients

In this adaptation of Miel con Quesillo from Venezuelan to South American cuisine, we maintain the essence of the dish while incorporating flavors and ingredients commonly found in various South American countries. The original recipe uses traditional Venezuelan quesillo cheese, which can be difficult to find outside of Venezuela. Therefore, we suggest substituting it with a similar soft cheese like queso fresco or cream cheese, which are more readily available in South America. Additionally, we enhance the caramel sauce by infusing it with regional flavors such as cinnamon or citrus zest, depending on the specific country's culinary traditions. We alse have the original recipe for Miel con quesillo, so you can check it out.
