Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Ground beef and pork — Make sure to use lean ground meat to avoid excessive fat in the meatloaf.
  • Cayenne pepper — Adjust the amount according to your spice preference. Add more for extra heat or reduce for a milder flavor.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a smokier flavor, you can add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to the meat mixture.
  • If you prefer a less spicy version, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper and hot sauce.
  • Letting the meatloaf rest before slicing allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more flavorful and moist meatloaf.
  • Serve the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Leftover meatloaf makes delicious sandwiches the next day.

Serving advice

Slice the meatloaf into thick slices and serve it with a dollop of mashed potatoes and a side of steamed green beans. Drizzle some of the tomato glaze over the meatloaf for an extra burst of flavor.

Presentation advice

Place the sliced meatloaf on a serving platter and garnish it with fresh parsley. The vibrant red glaze adds a pop of color to the dish, making it visually appealing.
