Preparation

  1. 1.

  8. 8.
Serve the marinated mushrooms garnished with fresh cilantro. They can be enjoyed warm or chilled.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Pineapple juice — Use freshly squeezed pineapple juice for the best flavor.
  • Mango puree — If fresh mangoes are not available, you can use store-bought mango puree or frozen mango chunks blended until smooth.
  • Lime juice — Use freshly squeezed lime juice for a tangy and refreshing taste.
  • Chili flakes — Adjust the amount of chili flakes according to your spice preference.
  • Fresh cilantro — If you're not a fan of cilantro, you can substitute it with fresh parsley for a milder herb flavor.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a smoky flavor, you can grill the mushrooms over charcoal instead of using a grill pan.
  • If you prefer a sweeter marinade, you can add a tablespoon of honey to the mixture.
  • These marinated mushrooms can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Serve the mushrooms as an appetizer, on top of salads, or as a side dish to grilled meats or seafood.
  • Experiment with different types of mushrooms, such as portobello or shiitake, for a variety of flavors and textures.
