Preparation

1.Rinse the soaked fava beans and drain them.

2.In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until golden brown.

3.Add the soaked fava beans to the pot and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4.Add the rice, cumin, cinnamon, and salt to the pot. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

5.Pour in enough water to cover the rice and beans by about an inch.

6.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the fava beans are tender.

7.Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and let it sit for a few minutes.
