Preparation

  1. 1.
Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. 2.
In a large oven-safe pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. 3.
Season the beef chuck roast with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. 4.
Push the caramelized onions to one side of the pot and place the seasoned beef chuck roast in the pot. Pour the BBQ sauce over the roast.
  5. 5.
Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  6. 6.
Remove the pot from the oven and shred the beef using two forks.
  7. 7.
Place the pot back on the stovetop over low heat and simmer for an additional 10 minutes to allow the beef to absorb the flavors of the BBQ sauce.
  8. 8.
Slice the slider buns in half and lightly toast them.
  9. 9.
Assemble the sliders by placing a generous amount of shredded BBQ beef on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese and cover with the top half of the bun.
  10. 10.
Serve the sliders warm and enjoy!

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Beef chuck roast — For the best results, choose a well-marbled chuck roast. The marbling adds flavor and ensures the meat stays moist during the slow cooking process.
  • BBQ sauce — Use your favorite brand of BBQ sauce or make your own for a personalized touch. Opt for a sauce with a balance of sweetness and tanginess to complement the beef.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to the BBQ sauce before pouring it over the beef.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the BBQ sauce.
  • Customize your sliders by adding toppings such as pickles, coleslaw, or crispy bacon.
  • If you're short on time, you can use a slow cooker instead of the oven. Cook the beef on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 4-5 hours.
  • Leftover BBQ beef can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and used in sandwiches, wraps, or salads.
