Ingredients
In this Muhajir-inspired version of Surówka, we incorporate Muhajir cuisine's characteristic spices and flavors. The original Polish Surówka typically consists of shredded cabbage, carrots, and sometimes apples, dressed with vinegar or mayonnaise. In this adaptation, we introduce aromatic spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric to infuse the salad with Muhajir flavors. Additionally, we garnish the salad with fresh cilantro and mint leaves, which are commonly used in Muhajir cuisine to enhance the freshness and aroma of the dish. We alse have the original recipe for Surówka, so you can check it out.
