1.In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

3.Add the fish or vegetable broth, carrots, and potatoes to the pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer.

4.Gently place the grey mullet fillets into the pot, making sure they are submerged in the broth. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.

5.Remove the fish fillets from the pot and set aside. Using a fork, gently break the fish into smaller pieces.

6.Add the doenjang and soy sauce to the pot, stirring well to incorporate.
