1.In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they turn golden brown.

2.Add the paprika, cayenne pepper, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir well to coat the onions and garlic with the spices.

3.Add the potato chunks to the pot and mix them with the spiced onion mixture.
