Preparation

1.Rinse the soaked Arctic beans and cook them in a pot of boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.

2.In a separate pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.

3.Add the Chukchi spice blend to the pot and stir well to coat the onions and garlic.

4.Add the Chukchi rice to the pot and stir to combine with the spices.

5.Pour in enough water to cover the rice by about an inch. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.

6.Once the rice is cooked, add the cooked Arctic beans to the pot and gently mix them with the rice.
