Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ground chicken and turkey — Ensure the meat is well-chilled before mixing to make it easier to handle and shape into patties.
- Fresh herbs — Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. If unavailable, you can substitute with dried herbs, but reduce the quantity by half.
- Tzatziki sauce — Prepare the tzatziki sauce in advance to allow the flavors to meld together. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Tips & Tricks
- For extra flavor, marinate the meat mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before shaping and grilling the Ćevapi.
- If you prefer a smoky flavor, you can add a pinch of smoked paprika to the meat mixture.
- Serve the Ćevapi with a squeeze of lemon juice for a refreshing citrus twist.
- If you don't have a grill or grill pan, you can also cook the Ćevapi in a skillet over medium heat.
- Leftover Ćevapi can be refrigerated and enjoyed the next day. Reheat them in a pan or microwave until heated through.
