Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef sirloin — For the best results, ensure that the beef sirloin is thinly sliced against the grain to ensure tenderness.
- Gouda cheese — Opt for a young Gouda cheese for its mild and creamy flavor. Feel free to experiment with different varieties of Gouda, such as smoked or aged, to add unique flavors to your cheesesteak.
Tips & Tricks
- To add extra flavor, you can sauté the onions with a sprinkle of brown sugar or balsamic vinegar.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce to your Dutch-style cheesesteak.
- If you prefer a softer bread texture, lightly toast the baguettes before filling them with the beef, onions, and cheese.
- Customize your cheesesteak by adding additional toppings such as sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, or pickles.
- Serve your Dutch-style cheesesteak with a side of tangy Dutch mustard for an authentic flavor experience.
