Treat your ingredients with care...
- Chicken — Ensure the chicken is cut into evenly sized cubes to ensure even cooking.
- Dates — Soak the chopped dates in warm water for 10 minutes before adding them to the curry to soften and enhance their flavor.
- Dried apricots — If the dried apricots are too hard, you can also soak them in warm water for a few minutes before adding them to the curry.
- Almonds — Toast the chopped almonds in a dry pan over medium heat for a few minutes until they become fragrant and lightly golden before adding them to the curry.
- Coconut milk — Shake the can of coconut milk well before opening to ensure the cream and liquid are well combined.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier curry, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili flakes.
- If you prefer a thicker curry, simmer it uncovered for a few extra minutes to allow the sauce to reduce.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey, depending on your preference.
- Feel free to substitute the chicken with lamb or beef for a different variation.
- Serve the Arabian Spiced Curry with a side of yogurt and a squeeze of lemon for added freshness.
