Ingredients
In this adaptation of Getuk to Peranakan cuisine, we incorporate the distinct flavors and ingredients commonly found in Peranakan cooking. While the original Getuk uses palm sugar, we substitute it with gula melaka, a type of palm sugar commonly used in Peranakan desserts. Additionally, we enhance the coconut flavor by adding pandan leaves, a staple ingredient in Peranakan cuisine known for its aromatic essence.
