Ingredients
In the original Indian version of Matar Mushroom, the dish is typically prepared with a tomato-based gravy and a blend of Indian spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric. However, in this Kazakh adaptation, we have replaced the tomato-based gravy with a flavorful broth and incorporated spices commonly used in Kazakh cuisine, such as paprika and dill. This adaptation gives the dish a unique Kazakh twist while still maintaining the essence of the original flavors. We alse have the original recipe for Matar Mushroom, so you can check it out.

- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce to the stew.
- If you prefer a thicker stew, you can mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with a little water and add it to the stew during the last few minutes of cooking.
