Preparation

1.Rinse the red beans thoroughly and place them in a large pot with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the beans and rinse again.

2.Refill the pot with water and add the red beans. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour or until the beans are tender.

3.Drain the beans and transfer them to a food processor. Blend until smooth.

4.In a separate pot, combine the blended red bean paste, sugar, vanilla bean seeds, and water. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes glossy (about 30 minutes).

5.Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Pour it into a rectangular mold lined with plastic wrap.

6.Sprinkle the rose petals and gold flakes on top of the mixture. Gently press them down to ensure they stick.
