In this adaptation of Pão com chouriço to Kosovan cuisine, we incorporate traditional Kosovan spices and flavors into the bread dough. Additionally, we use locally sourced Kosovan chorizo, which may have a slightly different flavor profile compared to Portuguese chorizo. 1.In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.

3.Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

4.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

7.Roll out each portion into a rectangle shape, approximately 1cm (0.4 inch) thick.

9.Arrange the sliced chorizo on top of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

10.Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the longer sides.

11.Place the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

12.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

13.Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
