Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ramen noodles — Be sure to cook the noodles according to package instructions and rinse them with cold water to prevent them from sticking together.
- Soft-boiled eggs — To make soft-boiled eggs, bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently lower the eggs into the water and cook for 6-7 minutes. Remove from the water and place in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Peel the eggs and slice in half.
- Shiitake mushrooms — Remove the stems before slicing the mushrooms.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier broth, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
- If you can't find prosciutto, you can use bacon or ham instead.
- To make the broth even richer, you can add a beef bone or two to the pot while it simmers.
- If you prefer your vegetables to be more tender, you can blanch them in boiling water for a minute or two before sautéing them.
- To make this recipe even easier, you can use store-bought chicken and beef broth instead of making your own.
