Treat your ingredients with care...
- Shrimp — Make sure to devein the shrimp properly to remove the digestive tract. This can be done by making a shallow cut along the back of the shrimp and removing the dark vein.
- Scallops — Pat the scallops dry before cooking to ensure a nice sear and prevent them from becoming watery.
- Squid — To achieve tender squid, either cook it quickly over high heat or simmer it gently for a longer period of time. Overcooking can result in rubbery texture.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier kick, add some sliced red chili peppers or a dash of chili oil to the stir-fry.
- Customize the vegetable selection based on personal preference or seasonal availability.
- To make the dish more substantial, serve it with steamed jasmine rice or noodles on the side.
- Experiment with different seafood combinations such as lobster, crab, or mussels for a luxurious twist.
- If you prefer a vegetarian version, substitute the seafood with tofu or tempeh.
