Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

2.In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside.

3.In the same skillet, sauté the onions until they are soft and translucent.

4.In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the sautéed onions and half of the cooked bacon. Sprinkle with half of the salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and paprika.

5.Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, and bacon. Sprinkle with the remaining salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and paprika.

6.Pour the vegetable broth over the top of the potato layers.

7.Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

8.Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
