Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Potatoes — Make sure to slice the potatoes thinly and evenly to ensure even cooking throughout the dish.
  • Bacon — Use high-quality bacon for the best flavor. If desired, you can substitute with turkey bacon for a healthier option.
  • Vegetable broth — If you prefer, you can use chicken or beef broth instead of vegetable broth for added richness.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a vegetarian version, you can omit the bacon and add a layer of grated cheese between the potato layers.
  • To make the dish more indulgent, you can top it with a layer of breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter before baking.
  • Serve the Welsh Potato Bake with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs for added flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated the next day for a delicious and convenient meal.
  • Experiment with different herbs and spices to customize the flavors to your liking.
