Treat your ingredients with care...
- Tatar honey — Use high-quality Tatar honey for an authentic flavor. If Tatar honey is not available, you can substitute it with any other good-quality honey.
- Tatar vinegar — Tatar cuisine traditionally uses vinegar made from fermented fruits. If Tatar vinegar is not accessible, apple cider vinegar can be used as a substitute.
Tips & Tricks
- For extra crispiness, you can double-coat the chicken by dipping it in the batter twice before frying.
- Adjust the sweetness and tanginess of the sauce according to your preference by adding more or less Tatar honey and vinegar.
- Feel free to add other vegetables such as pineapple chunks or carrots for added flavor and texture.
- If you prefer a spicier version, add a teaspoon of Tatar chili paste or crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- To make the dish healthier, you can bake the chicken instead of frying it.
