Treat your ingredients with care...
- Udon noodles — Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, but make sure not to overcook them as they should retain a chewy texture.
- Teriyaki sauce — If you prefer a sweeter teriyaki glaze, you can add an extra teaspoon of sugar to the sauce mixture.
Tips & Tricks
- For added protein, you can include tofu, chicken, or shrimp in the stir-fry.
- Feel free to customize the vegetable selection based on your preferences or seasonal availability.
- If you like a bit of heat, add a dash of chili flakes or sriracha sauce to the teriyaki glaze.
- To save time, you can prepare the teriyaki sauce in advance and store it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated the next day. Add a splash of water or soy sauce while reheating to prevent the noodles from drying out.
Serving advice
Yaki-Udon is best served hot as a main course. Divide the stir-fried noodles and vegetables into individual bowls and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
