This adaptation adds a unique twist to the traditional garlic bread, giving it a Malaysian flair. We alse have the original recipe for Ajo harina, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Garlic — Make sure to mince the garlic finely to evenly distribute its flavor throughout the butter mixture.
  • Sambal paste — Adjust the amount of sambal paste according to your spice preference. Add more for a spicier kick or reduce for a milder flavor.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra kick of flavor, sprinkle some grated cheese on top of the garlic and sambal butter mixture before baking.
  • If you prefer a softer texture, wrap the bread in foil without leaving the top exposed. This will help retain moisture and create a softer crust.
  • Experiment with different types of bread, such as ciabatta or baguette, for a variation in texture and taste.
