Ingredients

In the original Portuguese dish, Beijinhos de amêndo, the almonds are ground and mixed with sugar, butter, and coconut. However, in the Punjabi adaptation, the recipe replaces sugar and butter with sweetened condensed milk, which adds a creamy texture and enhances the sweetness. Additionally, Punjabi cuisine incorporates aromatic spices like cardamom and saffron, giving the laddoos a distinct flavor profile.
