Ingredients
In this Anglo-Indian adaptation, the traditional bife de chorizo is infused with the vibrant flavors of Anglo-Indian cuisine. The original Argentinian dish is typically seasoned with salt and pepper, while our version incorporates a blend of cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala to create a unique and aromatic flavor profile. Additionally, the dish is traditionally served with chimichurri sauce in Argentina, but we have replaced it with a tangy tomato chutney to complement the Anglo-Indian spices. We alse have the original recipe for Bife de chorizo, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef steaks — For a tender and juicy result, make sure to let the steaks marinate for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
- Tomato chutney — Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste preference. If you prefer a sweeter chutney, add more sugar. Similarly, adjust the salt to balance the flavors.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra kick of heat, add a pinch of chili powder or cayenne pepper to the spice mixture.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of spices used in the marinade.
- Resting the cooked steaks before slicing allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more flavorful and tender steak.
- Serve the beef steaks with a side of naan bread or roti for a complete Anglo-Indian meal.
- Experiment with different types of rice, such as jasmine or basmati, to add variety to your meal.
