Preparation

1.Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.

5.Gently place the fish chunks, shrimp, mussels, smoked eel, and pickled herring into the simmering broth. Cover the pot and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the mussels have opened.
