Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Fish fillets — Choose firm fish fillets that hold their shape well during cooking, such as cod, salmon, or trout.
  • Mussels — Make sure to clean and debeard the mussels before adding them to the stew to remove any sand or grit.
  • Bavarian beer — Opt for a flavorful Bavarian beer, such as a Märzen or a Dunkel, to enhance the stew's taste.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you prefer a spicier stew, add a pinch of Bavarian mustard or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Serve the stew with crusty Bavarian bread to soak up the flavorful broth.
  • Feel free to customize the seafood selection based on your preferences and availability.
  • For a richer flavor, you can substitute some of the vegetable oil with bacon fat.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed the next day, as the flavors will continue to develop.
