The traditional Romanian dish is transformed by using minced beef instead of cheese as the filling, and by adding Sabahan spices and herbs to enhance the taste. 1.In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.

2.Gradually add the coconut milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined. The batter should be thick but pourable.

3.In a separate pan, heat some oil and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

4.Add the minced beef to the pan and cook until browned.

5.Stir in the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, and soy sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

6.Remove the pan from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro and mint leaves.

7.Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

8.Pour a ladleful of the cornbread batter onto the pan and spread it evenly.

9.Spoon a generous amount of the beef filling onto one half of the cornbread.

10.Fold the other half of the cornbread over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal.

11.Cook the stuffed cornbread for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
