Ingredients
In this Ugandan-inspired version, we have replaced the traditional torrone filling with a mixture of roasted peanuts, honey, and vanilla. Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and use your fingertips to rub it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

3.Gradually add the cold water, a tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

4.In the meantime, prepare the filling. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped roasted peanuts, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all the peanuts are coated in honey.

5.Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a 9-inch tart pan. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the tart pan and press it gently into the bottom and sides.

6.Pour the peanut filling into the prepared crust and spread it evenly.

7.Bake the crostata in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

8.Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before serving.
