Treat your ingredients with care...
- Chickpea flour — Ensure that the chickpea flour is fresh and free from lumps for a smooth batter.
- Fruit salt (eno) — Use fruit salt just before steaming to ensure the cakes rise properly.
- Mustard seeds — Be cautious when tempering mustard seeds as they tend to splutter. Use a lid or a splatter guard to prevent any accidents.
