Preparation

1.Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.In a saucepan, combine the honey, sugar, orange blossom water, butter, cinnamon, cardamom, and orange zest. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is melted and well combined.

3.Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the sliced almonds and flour until fully coated.

4.Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each Florentine as they will spread during baking.

5.Flatten each spoonful of mixture slightly with the back of a spoon.

6.Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

7.Remove from the oven and let the Florentines cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
