Preparation

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, salt, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, and cloves. Mix well until a dough forms.
-
2.Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a thick rope. Cut the rope into small dumplings, about 2cm (3/4 inch) in length.
-
3.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook until they float to the surface, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and set aside.
-
4.In a separate pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until golden brown.
-
5.Add the saffron threads to the pan and stir for a minute to release their flavor. Pour in the vegetable broth and coconut milk, and bring to a simmer.
-
6.Gently add the cooked dumplings to the sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
7.Serve the Egyptian-style Kluski śląskie hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
