Ingredients
In this Jordanian adaptation of Mandu, we replace the traditional Korean ingredients like kimchi and soy sauce with Jordanian flavors. The filling is made with ground lamb instead of pork or beef, and we incorporate Middle Eastern spices such as cumin and coriander. Fresh herbs like parsley and mint are added to enhance the flavors. The dumplings are served with a yogurt sauce instead of the traditional Korean dipping sauce. We alse have the original recipe for Mandu, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ground lamb — Make sure to use lean ground lamb for a healthier option. If you prefer, you can substitute it with ground beef or chicken.
- Fresh herbs — Finely chop the parsley and mint to ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the filling, adding a burst of freshness to each bite.
Tips & Tricks
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the filling mixture.
- To save time, you can prepare the filling in advance and refrigerate it until ready to use.
- If you don't have dumpling wrappers, you can use wonton wrappers or even make your own dough from scratch.
- Experiment with different herbs and spices to customize the flavors to your liking.
- Serve the dumplings with a side of pickled vegetables for an extra burst of tanginess.
