Preparation

  1. 1.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Chicken or pork sausages — Ensure the sausages are fully cooked before slicing and adding them to the skillet. This will help retain their juiciness and prevent them from becoming dry.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra kick of heat, add a pinch of red chili powder or a finely chopped green chili to the spice mixture.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of black pepper and spices according to your taste.
  • Experiment with different types of sausages, such as chicken and apple or spicy chorizo, to add variety to the dish.
  • Serve the Kodava-Style Spiced Hot Dog with a side of tangy tomato chutney or coconut chutney for an authentic Kodava experience.
  • If you don't have access to tamarind paste, you can substitute it with a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy flavor.
