However, in this adapted Indian version, the grated potatoes are replaced with mashed potatoes and the pork fat is omitted. 1.In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well until all the spices are evenly incorporated.
