1.In a large pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a simmer over medium heat.

2.Add the miso paste, garlic, ginger, dried shiitake mushrooms, kombu, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil to the pot. Stir well to combine.

3.Allow the broth to simmer for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

4.While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

5.Remove the shiitake mushrooms and kombu from the broth and discard.

6.Divide the cooked noodles among serving bowls and ladle the hot miso broth over them.
