Preparation

1.In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the milk over medium heat until it comes to a boil.

2.Reduce the heat to low and simmer the milk, stirring occasionally, until it reduces to half its original volume.

3.Add the sugar and ghee to the pan and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.

4.Add the musk stick powder and cardamom powder to the pan and mix well.

5.Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture forms a thick mass and starts to leave the pan.

6.Remove the pan from heat and transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray.

7.Spread the mixture evenly and sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top.

8.Allow the burfi to cool completely, then cut it into desired shapes and serve.
