Treat your ingredients with care...
- Bosnian sausage (sudžuk) — If you can't find Bosnian sausage, you can substitute it with a spicy Italian sausage or chorizo for a similar flavor profile.
- Ajvar (red pepper spread) — You can make your own ajvar by roasting red bell peppers, peeling and pureeing them with garlic, olive oil, and a touch of vinegar.
- Kajmak (creamy cheese) — If kajmak is not available, you can use cream cheese or ricotta as a substitute.
Tips & Tricks
- For a crispier crust, preheat your pizza pan in the oven before placing the rolled-out dough on it.
- Experiment with different Bosnian toppings such as suho meso (dried beef) or kaymak (clotted cream) for a unique flavor experience.
- If you prefer a spicier pizza, add some sliced jalapenos or crushed red pepper flakes to the toppings.
- To achieve a smoky flavor, grill the Bosnian sausage before adding it to the pizza.
- Serve the Bosnian-style pizza with a side of fresh Bosnian salad for a complete meal.
Serving advice
