Ingredients

In the Welsh adaptation of Perrerreque, we incorporate traditional Welsh ingredients such as leeks and cheese to enhance the flavor profile. Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Potatoes — Make sure to thinly slice the potatoes for even cooking and tender results.
  • Leeks — Clean the leeks thoroughly as they can often have dirt trapped between the layers.
  • Cheddar cheese — Opt for a mature cheddar cheese for a stronger flavor in the dish.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a vegetarian version, replace the ground beef with cooked lentils or mushrooms.
  • Add a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley or chives on top before serving for added freshness.
  • Serve Welsh Perrerreque with a side of pickles or chutney for a tangy contrast.
