Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef steak — For the best results, choose a tender cut of beef such as sirloin or ribeye. Thinly slice the beef against the grain to ensure tenderness.
Tips & Tricks
- If you prefer a spicier dish, add more chili or sprinkle some chili flakes on top before serving.
- For a richer flavor, marinate the beef in the spice mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
- If you don't have canned diced tomatoes, you can use fresh tomatoes. Simply chop them and cook for a few minutes longer to soften.
Serving advice
Serve the Bruneian Pizzaiola hot over steamed rice or with crusty bread. The sauce is deliciously thick, so make sure to spoon plenty of it over the beef and rice/bread.
Presentation advice
Garnish the Bruneian Pizzaiola with fresh cilantro leaves to add a pop of color. You can also sprinkle some additional ground cumin or paprika on top for an extra touch of flavor.
