Ingredients

In this Chinese Imperial adaptation of Saganaki, we incorporate Chinese spices and cooking techniques to elevate the dish. The original Greek recipe is traditionally made with Greek cheese, such as Kefalotyri or Halloumi, and is typically served with lemon wedges. However, in this Chinese Imperial version, we use a combination of Chinese cheeses, such as Yunnan goat cheese and Imperial yellow cheese, and infuse the dish with Chinese spices like Sichuan peppercorns and star anise. The result is a unique fusion of flavors that pays homage to both Greek and Chinese culinary traditions. We alse have the original recipe for Saganaki, so you can check it out.
