Preparation

1.In a large pot, bring the fish stock to a boil. Add the ginger slices and garlic, and simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the flavors.

2.Add the fish fillets, shrimp, and crab meat to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.

3.Remove the seafood from the pot and set aside.

4.Strain the broth to remove the ginger and garlic. Return the strained broth to the pot.

5.Add soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, sugar, Chinese five-spice powder, and white pepper to the broth. Stir well to combine.

6.Bring the broth to a simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

7.Slowly pour in the cornstarch mixture while stirring continuously. Cook for another 2 minutes until the broth thickens slightly.

8.Return the cooked seafood to the pot and heat for 1-2 minutes to warm through.

9.Serve the Chinese Imperial Garudihya in bowls, garnished with chopped spring onion, fresh cilantro, and Chinese vegetables.
